Valhalla, Thor - Tribute sculpt

Peter Madsen’s comic book series Valhalla was a beloved treasure of my childhood, and the 1986 animated film adaptation, co-directed by Madsen and Jeffrey J. Varab, became an instant classic. The sweeping tales of Norse mythology captured in both the comics and the movie have inspired me to craft a sculpture of Thor, the thunder god, soaring across the sky in his chariot. Pulled by his two faithful goats, Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjóstr, Thor grips his legendary hammer, Mjölnir, ready to unleash its power.

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to all the talented individuals who brought the animated film to life, creating one of my most cherished childhood favorites. A special thank you goes to Peter Madsen for weaving a timeless and captivating story in his unique, unforgettable style.

The amazing soundtrack, composed by Ron Goodwin and performed by the Copenhagen Collegium Musicum orchestra, was like magic added to the film.
